Obama has used his executive authority to put a new plan to
reduce methane emissions in the U.S. by 40-45% within ten years. Sounds great
right? However, here’s where the problem starts. The plan the White House has
put forward will only apply to future gas emitting processes, ignoring the
large quantities produced by existing infrastructure. While this is a good step
in the right direction on changing our business as usual predictions for the
