Clean diesel combines more eco-friendly fuel, developments
in engine technology, and effective emissions controls. This ensures that there will be little to no
harmful emissions when in use. The new
Ultra- Low Sulfur Diesel contains 97%less sulfur than the older diesel, which
immediately cuts soot emissions by 10%. Since 2010 diesel vehicles have
improved an average of 5% fuel efficiency, which may not seem like much. But it
would takes one of any truck made before 1998 to equal the emissions of 60 trucks
made it 2010. Clean diesel in my mind will play a huge role in helping to meet
clean air objectives in the future.
