Adidas Group’s Environmental Approach:
In
2010 the Adidas Group aimed to reduce their environmental footprint by 15% by
the year 2015. The reduction includes
all facets of the company; including everything from product creation to the
manufacturing of goods. Their goal is to adopt a leadership role in
environmental management. They have focused on 8 ways to impact the
environment. These 8 categories comprised of energy efficiency, water
conservation, materials, water discharge, waste, air emissions, chemicals, and
groundwater contamination. I believe it’s awesome that a company such as adidas
is focusing on the environment and I hope all companies intend to follow in
their footsteps.
