Is Obama going to do anything about climate change this year?

Thus far, the White House has been slow to take any real action against climate change. Despite promising action against climate change, Obama has instead focused on an “all-of-the-above” energy strategy that has allowed the American oil and gas industry to flourish and carbon emissions increased in 2014.

However, perhaps this is the year Obama decides to actually do something about climate change. The White House released a plan this month that aims to lower methane emissions between 40-45%. Obama has also declared that he will veto any legislation to approve the Keystone XL pipeline.

The bottom line is that unless Obama wants to be remembered as a president who failed to act on climate change, it’s time he lives up to his promises to work on combating this pressing issue.
