Fluorescent light bulbs are reaction caused by electricity
heating up a vapor and causing it to produce ultraviolet radiation, which
causes the production of light. Two problems with fluorescent light is they are
not very energy efficient and when they burn out it is very hard to recycle
them. It is hard to recycle them because there is mercury in them, and when too
many are thrown away it can pose an environmental threat.
