ReCycling

Recycling has always been a rather boring notion filled with sorting out cans and bottles, but with a little creativity it can go a long way. Currently Company in New Zealand is using recycled carpets and transforming them into bikes. Its estimated around 5 billion tons of carpet are dumped every year. Rather then dumping the carpets this company turns the fibers and backings into pellets ready to be molded into shape. Using glass fiber and advance technology to injection mold the pieces, a children’s bike is born. To me this proves that much of our waste has potential to be brought back to life as something new. All it needs is some human ingenuity. Click here for the Guardian article.
